Seltzer
My shul has an e-mail list at yahoo groups, and I've noticed an ad on most of our e-mails for a company named Soda Club USA, which sells a soda and seltzer machine. The machine is actually made in Israel, and all of the flavors are kosher. I bought this and just got it yesterday.
They claim that it lets you make seltzer equal in quality to the old-time seltzer that came in the “shpritz bottles” made famous nationwide by Clarabelle, as well as Ted Knight’s most famous line on the Mary Tyler Moore show (when Chuckles the Clown met his untimely demise).
It was delivered by the company’s own truck, and the driver asked me whether we had “any empties” for him to pick up. So it did indeed remind me of the seltzer man’s visits to my home in Brooklyn in the 1960s.
I’ll let you know if it’s any good.
